The Mission of the PTA is three-fold: |

to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; |
|
to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and |
|
to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. |
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. With the shortfall in the funding of
Miami-Dade County Public Schools your dues are especially important. Each
membership cost is a nominal $6.00 per person and/or $20.00 per business.
Membership is open to all parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, neighbors,
businesses, and anyone else wanting to help make Joella C. Good GREAT!! Even
when you cannot donate your time, your membership dollars help make
special programs and services possible for all our children throughout the
school year. This year PTA membership dues will be used exclusively to fund
classroom necessities not included in the school's budget. In the past, Joella
C. Good Elementary has received awards for its enrollment of staff,
grandparents, business, and community leaders. With your help we can again meet
this year's membership goals. Please take a moment to complete the application
and return it to your child's teacher.
